Keto Valentine's Day Dinner Menu, Perfect for Romantic Minimalists

Minimalist Keto Valentine’s Day Menu

Save money (and carbs!) by dining in for Valentine’s Day. Consider treating your honey to a mouth-watering meal at home, or cook together. Here’s a simple, delicious, and sexy menu that is totally keto.

It’s also a minimalist Valentine’s Day menu…. no-fuss appetizer, main dish, two healthy veggie sides (or just choose one), and dessert.

Let’s get cooking!

Caprese skewers are a perfect Valentine's Day keto appetizer.

Valentine's Day Caprese Skewers

Snack on these delightful caprese skewers while you cook and, best of all, they can be made ahead.

Just slide cherry tomatoes, mini fresh mozzarella balls, and fresh basil leaves on wooden skewers. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and cracked black pepper.

If you don’t mind an extra carb or two, splash with a tiny bit of balsamic vinegar.

Perfect Filet Mignon with Rosemary and Garlic

A tender, juice filet mignon is one of the sexiest main dishes and is perfect for a keto Valentine’s Day meal. This recipe is from Tasty.co and be sure to watch their step-by-step video how to cook the perfect steak.

Be sure to remove your steaks from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking, and season well with coarse salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Serve your delicious filet with one or both of these keto Valentine’s Day side dishes. The green beans can be prepped ahead and the cauliflower made ahead entirely.

Green Beans Gremolata

This delicious veggie recipe is from the amazing Ina Garten and is perfect for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. The roasted green beans with garlic, lemon zest, Parmesan and pine nuts and zesty and pair well with the filet.

Prep ahead tip: Prepare the gremolata and blanch the green beans ahead of time. Then, while the steak is resting, saute the green beans to heat through.

Mashed Cauliflower with Cheddar and Sour Cream

This flavorful mashed cauliflower recipe from Fifteen Spatulas, features cheddar, sour cream, and butter. It’s deliciously decadent and blissfully low in carbs. The Valentine’s Day cauliflower mash can definitely be made ahead and reheated in the microwave while preparing the steaks.

If you want to cheat, I mean “be efficient,” Green Giant has frozen Mashed Cauliflower with Cheddar and Bacon that is really, really good. Best of all, there are only 4 g net carbs per serving. I’ve bought this mashed cauliflower at Target but most major grocery stores should carry it.

Sliced strawberries and vanilla whipped cream make a simple and delicious Valentine's Day keto dessert.

Strawberries with Vanilla Whipped Cream

Fresh strawberries with vanilla whipped cream is a perfect minimalist keto Valentine’s Day dessert and, like the caprese skewers, doesn’t require a recipe!

Slice berries into a pretty glass or dish. Whip cream either by hand, or with a mixer, and add a few drops of vanilla extract. Sweeten with a little stevia (or low carb sweetener of your choice), if desired. Top the berries with the vanilla whipped cream and enjoy a decadent keto dessert!

Cheers! Serve dry cabernet sauvignon or ice water with frozen berries for your Valentine's Day keto dinner.

A special day deserves special beverages.

If you’re a wine drinker, a dry red Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with filet mignon. A 5 ounce serving of cabernet has only 4 carbs.

If you’d rather skip alcohol, serve ice water with a few frozen berries to not only keep the water chilled, but to add a touch of flavor and festive color.

Your keto Valentine’s Day dinner menu can be simple, minimimalist, elegant and mostly make-ahead. Prep the sides, appetizer, and dessert, and then concentrate on grilling an amazing filet with your sweetie.

Enjoy your delicious keto meal, and happy Valentine’s Day!
