/Watching TV the other night, while munching on perfectly keto Applewood-smoked cheese curds, I saw an ad for Dunkin'. Normally I'd mute the TV immediately because, as someone who follows a low-carb diet, I don't want to be tempted by donuts, apple fritters, or a sugary Mocha Swirl Frozen Coffee.
Before I could hit the mute button I realized the ad was for Dunkin's new Omelet Bites. They look surprisingly like Starbucks Egg Bites, which are low-carb. I wondered, could Dunkin's new Omelet Bites be keto-friendly??
Dunkin's new Omelet Bites (Bacon & Cheddar or Egg White & Veggie) have 7 grams of net carbs per serving, so they are a keto-friendly food and can be a delicious part of a low-carb or ketogenic diet. Both varieties of Dunkin' Omelet Bites are packed with at least 13 grams of protein, and 11 grams or more of fat.

Like Starbucks Egg Bites, the Dunkin' Omelet Bites are cooked using the sous vide method which means they are cooked in a temperature-controlled water bath. Sous vide provides a consistent cooking temperature so your Omelet Bites are never unevenly or over-cooked and the texture is always creamy and velvety.
Bacon & Cheddar Omelet Bites
Oh my gosh, these were AMAZING. Very tangy and cheesy with bits of bacon inside. They are creamy and satisfying and absolutely amazing. I am also a huge fan of cheddar and bacon, but the Bacon & Cheddar Omelet Bites were overwhelmingly my favorite.
Egg White & Veggie Omelet Bites
I was less thrilled about Dunkin's Egg White & Veggie Omelet Bites. They were a little more dense and less creamy than the Bacon & Cheddar, but you definitely get the tang of Parmesan and Provolone cheese. There are small pieces of tomato and spinach flecked throughout the omelet bites but it's hard to distinguish the flavor. You definitely get "veggie," but it was hard for me to identify exactly what vegetables I was tasting until I looked at the ingredient list. That said, egg white omelets of any sort are just not my thing. The yolk is my favorite part of the egg. However, if you like the Egg White & Roasted Red Pepper Egg Bites at Starbucks you will probably love these.
Despite both varieties of Omelet Bites having hot sauce as an ingredient, they are in no way spicy. I couldn't detect the hot sauce at all.
I definitely recommend Dunkin's new Omelet Bites if you want a quick, tasty low-carb and keto-friendly breakfast on-the-go.
Both the Bacon & Cheddar and Egg White & Veggie Omelet bites have only 7 grams of carbs and are made from quality ingredients. You can order on the Dunkin' mobile app and pick up from the drive-thru for a convenient breakfast. They also taste amazing.
